Previous examination questions are provided to familiarize you with the material covered and the format of the exam. Rigorous training in how to effectively research the exam questions within the time frame is also covered.

 

Course Materials
You will need to purchase the most recent edition of Title 19, Code of Federal Regulations, 19 CFR Parts 1 thru the End and The Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.

Instructor handouts will also be provided during class that includes other pertinent reference materials recommended by the CBP for the exam.

 

Instructor
This course is taught by Norman W. Harris III, a Licensed Customs Broker and Certified Customs Specialist. He has been a licensed Customs Broker for more than 20 years and is the Corporate Compliance Manager at Norman Krieger, Inc. He is also the President of the LACBFFA.

• There is 20% discount to retake this broker course if previously taken with LACBFFA.
• Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Your registration will be placed on a wait list until payment is confirmed for this course.
Refund Policy: Refunds will be made if a written cancellation is received one week prior to the start of class. An $85 cancellation fee will be charged. No refunds will be issued after that date.

The Los Angeles Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association (LACBFFA) established a scholarship program in memory of one of our long-time members who served twice as the Association President, served in every other officer position and on numerous committees during her tenure on the board of directors.

We are offering one scholarship for our class of summer 2018. The recipient will be able to attend the class at no cost (cost of class is $595) and the class materials will also be covered (Copy of the Title 19 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 0 to 140, 141 to 99 and 200 to End and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S.).
