 Carnet pilot Speaker Amanda Barlow is the Regional Vice President for 
 Roanoke&rsquo\;s Western Region. Amanda oversees the sales and operations 
 of the Long Beach and San Francisco offices. She is responsible for 
 managing client relationships and directing sales initiatives with a focus
  on quality of service to ensure we deliver a superior client experience 
 that serves as a sustainable differentiator for Roanoke in her region. 
 Amanda seeks new business opportunities\, and contributes to developing 
 product and technology initiatives to ensure we are always meeting our 
 clients&rsquo\; needs and covering their risk exposures. She monitors 
 underwriting practices\, and ensures our brokerage operation is run 
 consistently and efficiently. Amanda is a licensed insurance broker who 
 specializes in ATA Carnets\, cargo insurance\, customs bonds\, errors 
 &amp\; omissions\, and property &amp\; casualty for international trade 
 and transportation specialists. Since Amanda has been with Roanoke she has
  severed in a variety of roles within the company. Most recently\, Amanda 
 was our Vice President of Client Experience which was focused on 
 understanding our client&rsquo\;s needs whether from a risk management 
 perspective\, sales tools and support or simply how we can support our 
 clients as they grow and evolve in the ever changing market place. 
 Originally Amanda joined Roanoke in 2014 as the Vice President of ATA 
 Carnet and she was responsible for the daily management of customer 
 service operations\, and sales of the ATA Carnet product and all its 
 related services nationwide. Amanda&rsquo\;s career has been very focused 
 on ATA Carnet and she is still involved in the strategic leadership and 
 development of ATA Carnet\, especially as we move into a digital 
 environment. Amanda is a member of the Air Forwarders Association Board of
  Directors and is active in the AirCargo Conference Committee. The Air 
 Forwarders Association serves as the voice of the air forwarding industry.
  Seeing industry issues emerge in a real time through Amanda&rsquo\;s 
 involvement with the AFA allows her to better understand the ever changing
  risks of our clients. In addition\, Amanda was appointed to the U.S. 
 Department of Commerce&rsquo\;s District Export Council (DEC) of Southern 
 California\, one of more than 60 DECs that exist throughout the country to
  support the U.S. Government&rsquo\;s export promotion efforts. Amanda 
 regularly presents on behalf of Roanoke for a wide variety of 
 associations\, department of commerce\, and trade groups&rsquo\; 
 educational events\, seminars and webinars. In 2018\, she was appointed to
  the U.S. Department of Commerce&rsquo\;s District Export Council (DEC) of
  Southern California\, one of more than 60 DECs that exist throughout the 
 country to support the U.S. Government&rsquo\;s export promotion efforts. 
 Amanda is a member of the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders 
 Association of America&rsquo\;s Educational Institute (NCBFAA-EI) 
 Marketing Subcommittee\, along with representing Roanoke and our clients 
 in the Trade Support Network (TSN) and USCIB&rsquo\;s Customs and Trade 
 Facilitation Committee. She served as the Secretary and Marketing Chair on
  the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) New York 
 chapter&rsquo\;s board of directors from 2009 until 2012\, and is now an 
 active member of the OWIT chapter in Orange County\, CA. Amanda authored 
 and taught for several semesters the Export Promotion Marketing course for
  the international trade and marketing department at her alma mater the 
 State University of New York&rsquo\;s Fashion Institute of Technology 
 (FIT-SUNY)\, where she has been an Adjunct professor since 2006. She has 
 also served on FIT-SUNY&rsquo\;s Gemini Shippers Association&rsquo\;s 
 Scholarship Committee\, as well as their International Industry Advisory 
 Board\, which ensures that the curriculum is continually in line with 
 industry advancements. Prior to joining Roanoke\, Amanda was the Marketing
  Director in the Carnet and Trade Services Department of US Council for 
 International Business (USCIB). She was responsible for the marketing\, 
 promotion and development of USCIB&rsquo\;s Trades Services. She joined 
 USCIB in 2005 as an entry level ATA Carnet issuing representative\, and 
 moved very quickly into managing their trade services which included ATA 
 Carnets\, eCertificates of Origin and the international bookstore known 
 for the sale of Incoterms&reg\;. Before joining the USCIB\, Amanda worked 
 with ATA Carnets for a New York-based Italian fashion house. She earned 
 her Bachelor of Science Degree in International Trade and Marketing from 
 FIT-SUNY. This event originally aired on October 26\, 2022.
