Madelyn Bell, Consumer Safety Technician
Madelyn Bell is a public servant, who has had increasing import safety responsibilities over her career of 29 years at the FDA. She joined as an Office Automation Clerk, became an Import Clerk, and transitioned into her current role as Consumer Safety Technician in July 2010. Madelyn’s duties cross the entire Division of West Coast Imports and involve investigative, compliance, and administrative functions. Her work includes import case management, laboratory report processing, document control, records management, management support, technical assistance, and internal and external communications. Whatever the task, Madelyn remains committed to quality service, because the entire public benefits through the importation of compliant goods. The agency has recognized this commitment with numerous divisions, office, and agency level awards.


Kelsey Tate, Consumer Safety Technician
Kelsey Tate serves as Consumer Safety Technician (CST) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Division of West Coast Imports (DWCI). Kelsey started the FDA in 2016 as a Pathway Intern before transitioning into the CST position. She received both her bachelor’s degree in Biology and master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of La Verne. Kelsey’s outside hobbies and interests include music, dance, event planning, interior decorating.


Terry Timmons, Consumer Safety Technician
Terry Timmons currently serves as a Consumer Safety Technician (CST) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Division of West Coast Imports (DWCI). Terry has worked for the FDA since 2018 and previously worked for other federal agencies which include, the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration. He served 9 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Satellite Communications & Control Specialist & Military Imagery Intelligence Analyst. In his leisure time, he enjoys mountain biking, training at the gym, running, hiking & spending quality time with his family & friends.


Douglas Scott, Consumer Safety Technician
Douglas Scott currently serves as Consumer Safety Technician (CST) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Division of West Coast Imports (DWCI). Douglas started the FDA in 2018 as a Pathway Intern before transitioning into the CST position. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton, earning his Master’s in Public Administration. While free, Douglas enjoys personal fitness, the beach, hiking, going to the movies, and great company.
