Previous examination questions are provided to familiarize you with the material covered and the format of the exam. Rigorous training in how to effectively research the exam questions within the time frame is also covered.

Course Materials
You will need to purchase the most recent edition of Title 19, Code of Federal Regulations, 19 CFR Parts 1 thru the End and The Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.

Instructor handouts will also be provided during class that includes other pertinent reference materials recommended by the CBP for the exam.

Instructor
This course is taught by Norman W. Harris III, a Licensed Customs Broker and Certified Customs Specialist. He has been a licensed Customs Broker for more than 20 years and is the Manager of Customs Services and Compliance at Nippon Express NEC Logistics America, Inc.

Refund Policy: Refunds will be made if a cancellation is received in writing one week prior to the start of class. An $85 cancellation fee will be charged. No refunds will be issued after that date.

The Los Angeles Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association (LACBFFA) established a scholarship program in memory of one of our long-time members who served twice as the Association President, served in every other officer position and on numerous committees during her tenure on the board of directors.

We are offering one scholarship for our 2021 winter class. The recipient will be able to attend the class at no cost (cost of class is $495) and the class materials will also be covered (Copy of the Title 19 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 0 to 140, 141 to 99 and 200 to End and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S.).
