26th PCC Mission to Washington D.C.

The PC Mission to Washington, D.C. is scheduled for February 25-27, 2018. Once again, we urge your participation in this most important activity, as issues affecting our industry are mounting day-by-day. This mission is designed to strengthen our political power and keep us visible with our elected officials.
To do this effectively, we must have large numbers of people visiting our elected representatives. A small but effective core group has attended year after year, but we must increase these numbers. This event is particularly exciting because of the high-visibility visits we make to Capitol Hill. It is exciting and frightening to see our government at work and we challenge you to view it firsthand by helping us shape our future. If we do not do this, then it will be done by individuals who do not know anything about our industry. Don't let that happen!
In addition to the Capitol Hill visits, LACBFFA will host a special dinner with key staff members of our elected representatives. This dinner will be held at a restaurant close to the Capitol and will give us the opportunity to talk directly to those staff members, who are responsible for the key decisions and background work, about the subjects of vital concern to us.
The Board of the Los Angeles Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association has again voted to help defray some expenses for this trip, provided that you attend the dinner and most of our visits on Capitol Hill. Please submit an expense reimbursement form along with a copy of your receipts to be considered.
